World Chemistry Forum 2019 (WCF 2019) was grandly held at the Catalonia Barcelona Hotel during May 22-24, 2019 in Barcelona, Spain. The conference is hosted by International Science and Technology Conference Institute (ISTCI) and operated by Dalian Four Leaf Clover Co., Ltd. (FLC Event).

The opening ceremony was hosted by Dr. Michael Stockenhuber, Professor of The University of Newcastle, Australia and the President of the Australian Catalysis Society. Dr. Gabor A. Somorjai, Member of the United States National Academy of Sciences, Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, winner of Wolf Prize in Chemistryin 1998, and Professor of University of California at Berkeley, USA addressed a important speech at the opening ceremony.

Also there are Dr. Ulrike Diebold, Professor of Technical University of Vienna, Austria and Member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Dr. Hong He, Professor of Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Dr. Francesc Illas, Professor of University of Barcelona, Spain and Member of the European Academy of Sciences. Dr. Brian Cantor, Vice-Chancellor, University of Bradford, UK. Dr. Hans-Peter Steinrück, Professor of University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany and Member of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina. Dr. Christof Woll, Professor and Director of Institute for Functional Interfaces, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany and Member of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina. Dr. Shengming Ma, Professor of State Key Laboratory of Organometallic Chemistry, Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, CAS, China and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. And Dr. Ulrich Mueller, Senior Vice President of Executive Expert Zeolite Catalysis, BASF SE, Germany, totally more than 280 delegates attend the meeting.

The topics of this conference are mainly in the three directions of analytical chemistry, nano-science and catalysis. There are two plenary sessions, 24 parallel breakouts, Chinese chemists' Forum, posters, table tops and welcome reception banquet, etc., various and colorful events.

During the parallel breakouts, the experts explored from various aspects, mainly in chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, catalytic materials, surface treatment, environmental protection, energy, synthetic technology, nanotechnology, pharmaceuticals, food, crystals. Every participant and speaker can make a positive interaction.. No matter what kind of achievement you have got, there are no boundaries in front of science. They only have and show the spirit of interest and cooperation.

Special Experience! - Chinese Chemistry Forum

WCF 2019 - Chinese Chemistry Forum was held during 8:00-9:00 P.M. (Peking time) at Barcelona, Spain. It is hosted by Professor Wenzhen Wang of Xi'an Shiyou University, China, and the main speakers are Dr. Hong He, Professor, Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. Dr. Shengming Ma, Professor, State Key Laboratory of Organometallic Chemistry, Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, CAS, China. Dr. Shuncheng Lee, Professor, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, China. Dr. Xiaoming Sun, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, China and Dr. Biao Jiang, Professor, Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, CAS, China

This activity was aimed to prepare a high-level academic exchange platform for Chinese chemists in the field of chemistry. The forum fully focused on the latest research progress, development trends and hot issues in the field of chemistry.

Chinese Chemists Forum was the first live broadcast at overseas. There were nearly 100 professional viewers registered online and joined the live broadcast, and we will continue to held the forum for next conferences, so that the domestic professional audiences can get the most cutting-edge information then.

Great Job ! - Young Scientists

WCF-2019 provides the opportunity to Young Scientists to show their talents and research result. The young scientists from 7 countries are mostly doctoral or postdoctoral, although they are very young but when they show their research, they shocked all the listeners. One of the professors from the University of Miami, after listening to their speeches, used "Terrific" to describe their speeches. He said "their level has far exceeded that of my time, the young scientists are really excellent. I am surprised, and the future belongs to them."

Figures Conclusion

WCF2019 has come to a successful conclusion. As a well-known academic and scientific activity in the field of chemistry, there are more than 280 delegates from 34 countries attended the forum, and more than half are from China, Japan, Germany, Spain and USA. The speeches covered not only the research and development of basic disciplines, but also the transformation of applied sciences. The conference got the support from different enterprises, research institutes, industry associations and industry medias.

The conference combines academia and industry, and provided a space for companies and institutions to present their technology, service, products, and innovations.

From WCF 2019, we found that the field of catalysis, surface treatment and pharmaceuticals, it is still the world for Europe and the United States. In terms of nanoscience and materials, Japan in East Asia are still in the leader level, South Korea and China are going to caught up. Saudi Arabia is beautiful landscape in the field, they have begun to take root in the field of basic science and won the praise of all the participants.
